This is the Orientale – Andante Lessons page. This is a duet piece. The 2nd guitar part is featured here. Look for the 1st guitar part in the “Piece” section. There are two movements, Andante and Lento. Look for the Lento movement in the “Piece” section of the site. The first video is a recording of the piece, followed by the video lessons. The performance video is a different arrangement than the lessons videos. There are links to the tabs of this song as well as to the sheet music/tab documents I make of all the pieces. Hints on ORIENTALE – ANDANTE:
This movement is pretty standard, and is quite attainable. As the second guitar, you must be very cautious not to overpower the first guitar part, which is playing the melody line. There are a lot of places where the thumb is used exclusively, so it is a good piece to develop good thumb technique. There are plenty of bars, so follow the video lessons to see where they occur. After this Andante movement comes the Lento movement, which can be found on the “Piece” section of the site. After the Lento movement, you return to this Andante movement, skip the repeat sigh that occurs, and end the piece at the end of the movement.
